soo i changed the back fabric to black and reorganized the layout. hopefully few more designs, but i would say this display is 90% done
yay AN is coming up soon (i hope i get all my assignments done -_-) ......................................................
I have been really slow and not active in the drawing department ( I HAVE AN EXCUSE though.. Extended school term)
but I started working on display material for anime north 2009
any tips or suggestions on the display may be helpful.
I got two cork boards and covered it with fabric (butchered old t shirt) and skewed on all the existing button designs i have so far...took a while too.
I dont like how its organized for some parts so i will redo them again. and i need to add labels for each series .
any good organizational idea or display methods will be helpful. I think because of time contraints I will get few more buttons done.
I think what would be neat is using construction paper backgrounds. Like one colour is one series, another colour is another series, etc...don't know if that's too much work in between school @_@
Hopefully I'll be able to make it to AN this year and buy more buttons from you.
-- I want to be able to just sit back and enjoy the white snow fall.
I'm a teeshirt decorator by trade and can, with definity, say that a little dyesub on a white fabric could go a long way as far as organizing the buttons. And after making a template you feel suitable, you could just leave the series title areas blank and use delicious little address label stickers from Staples to mark said sections. That way, it's re-usable, eye catching but still perfectly functional. And if you decorate the shirt in such a way, you can either change it out when needed (say some stupid customer spills soda on it...) but not have to worry about having a paper background with four-thousand little poke-holes in it (if you chose to take that route.)
I.. er.... I'm getting ready for work. >>; Yeah, that's why I'm typing too much. Good luck on sales!
Also.. *makes grabby hands at pins* ;3; WANT! Want so hard.
-- THE SWINE FLU IS COMING! Your avatar is not safe!! (That's right, it's in my signature. WHAT NOW, BITCHES?)
Nice idea. I'd use black fabric instead--it'd make the buttons stand out more.
Just as an idea, you could also get cork trivets (from Ikea) and put each set of pins on one, and display them on plate display stands (which you can often find in dollar stores or your local Chinatown).
Eeeee~ I cant wait for AN I got a wishlist of artist alley stuff I need to check out, as well as my friend's since she cant come XD Looks a lot nicer than the display last year :3 I do agree though that another colour fabric might work but who knows? One month away *so excited*
